BIOGRAPHY Sandra Kay Johnson has lived on the central coast for more than thirty-five years; studying, teaching and raising a family. Public works include an award winning mural in Lompoc tiled Rosescape, her bronze sculpture, Web of Life created for the San Luis Obispo Creek Walk Project, the stained glass Minoan Tribute for the San Luis Obispo Public Utilities building, and the recent installation of Flights of Fancy, a flock of whimsical birds in steel and silk for the San Luis Obispo Airport. |

At their country home in Arroyo Grande, she and her husband have raised four sons. She completed her BS in Applied Art and Design in June of 1994, graduating from Cal Poly with Full Honors, and receiving The Renaissance Recognition Award; followed by a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Arts from Vermont College of Norwich University. Her art skills range from two dimensional to three dimensional work in a broad range of media. She teaches from the elementary to university level classes, conducts silk-painting workshops at her country studio, and is currently a part-time lecturer at Cal Poly and Allan Hancock College. |
